Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson, the daughter of a musician born in Mexico was born to the music-loving parents of her family. Her early years were shaped by the classical music of her parents, boleros as well as the more traditional romantic, ranchero, and romantic ballads. Ana loves tangos, opera, and every form of dramatic performances. She started singing and studying music with her mother, then began more intense vocal training at the age of 16 with renowned Mexican tenor Flavio Becerra. At the School of Music of Guadalajara University and the School of Sacred Music of Toluca in Mexico furthered her education in music. The beginning of her professional career included performances with a variety of chamber ensembles and opera choruses and chamber groups in Guadalajara. When she moved in California in United States in 2000, she performed with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus before shifting to her residence in southern California. She's a frequent solo performer for private events and parties and performs classical Latin American Music. In addition to being an instructor and performer in the local area the passion for arts and music keeps her involved in a range of initiatives. Ana is also an ex-member of the Community Chorus of Redlands. The Inland Master Chorale. and the Performance Loft. Ana appreciates being able to share her love and passion of traditional Latin American songs with others, and in doing so hopes to instill a sense of to, particularly in the younger age group, to help keep this music vibrant and alive.Viva Mexico!
