She was the character Karen Walker on the NBC sitcom Will & Grace (1998-2006, 2017-2020) where she earned 8 Primetime Emmy Award nominations for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series winning twice in the years 2000 and the year 2006. She also received nominations for other honors for her portrayal, including seven consecutive Screen Actors Guild Awards nominations for Outstanding Performance of a Female Actor in an Comedy Series winning three times in 2002, 2001 and 2003 as well as getting the award for four Golden Globe Award nominations. Mullally's debut was in a commercial for McDonald's which also featured John Goodman. Her first appearance on television was on The Ellen Burstyn Show in 1986. Later, she appeared as a guest star on shows like Seinfeld's Fesier Wings and Ned Stacey Mad About You Caroline in the City 3rd Rock from the Sun & Just Shoot me!
